Our take
The AW3425DWM has been a great upgrade for my gaming setup. The 180Hz refresh rate is buttery smooth, and the 1ms response time keeps gameplay crisp. The 1500R curve is comfortable for long sessions, and the HDR 400 adds decent pop to highlights, though not true HDR. I like the matte screen that reduces glare. However, the 3000:1 contrast ratio is typical for VA panels, so blacks aren't as deep as OLED. Overall, for $699.99, it's a strong ultrawide with good color and FreeSync support.
